Who We Help

BCE is here to help young people with SEND or EBSNA, their families and educators to make things better and create the places children want to be and know that they belong.

We strive to make a valuable contribution to improving inclusion, belonging and learning experiences.

The children and young people we work for usually have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and an attendance record of 60% or lower.

Our learners struggle to attend school consistently or are unable to integrate in other social contexts due to:

  • SEND (Special Educational Needs or Disabilities)

  • EBSNA (Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance)

  • Health treatment or recovery from it

  • Emotional or mental health issues

  • Anxiety

  • Not Good Enough complex

  • Communication obstacles

  • Low mood

  • Low self esteem

For young people who struggle to attend school consistently due to SEND or health issues.
