Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.

Our Values

We strive to make a valuable contribution to improving inclusion, belonging and learning experiences.

Our Mission

BCE is here to help young people with SEND or EBSNA, their families and educators to make things better and create the places children want to be and know that they belong.

We strive to make a valuable contribution to improving inclusion and belonging in schools and the subsequent high quality learning and social experiences for vulnerable individuals. We listen carefully to young people, working in partnership with them, their families, schools and supporting agencies.

Creativity, Courage, Curiosity and Care

  • Integration: We dedicate our efforts to making a safe return to learning possible.

  • Creative pathways are the platform we use so that inclusive learning can be engaged in again.

  • We are committed to helping young people get back to loving learning through creativity and reading, so that structure and aspirations can then be reintroduced.

  • We remove obstacles built up over time and help young people to look forward to a world of learning, belonging and creativity.

  • Belonging: We value the student and family voice and through short term support, initiate reconnection with learning for the long term.

  • We advocate the potential of every learner so that they can find a way back with support, respect, ownership and mutual trust.

  • We equip learners with personal, social and emotional tools and understanding that will help them to reconnect with learning and their unique context in future.

  • Inclusion: BCE is committed to making transitions not only possible, but positive and powerful.
